Modern church pews?
Growing up I thought the most uncomfortable seat in the world was our church pews. I don’t think our church was any different than most, but those polished old beauties may have been nice to look at but they made you sit up straight and pay attention, while I wiggled my rear end to try and regain som circulation to my legs. I actually remember getting up to sing and falling down because both my legs had gone to sleep. Our church today has decided it’s just as important to be comfortable, because while they look like our old pews, they have a nice thick padding that makes it easy to pay attention without feeling “forced” to pay attention.
