How does wire EDM work?
Wire electrical discharge machining, also called as Wire Edm, which can also be referred to as wire cutting or wire-cut EDM. This process is usually done in order to make different tools, dies and punches from metal slugs or blank metals that are hard to produce in other kind of method. This also enables the production of metal plates which are 300 mm in thickness. In this process, a single stranded wire is fed into a certain workpiece and is submerged into a fluid which is dielectric at a certain period of time. Usually, the wire used is brass and the fluid is deionized water.
