Dear Diary, today I had the funny feeling that my boyfriend was going to break up with me. Not only did he break up with me, but I found out that he’s dating this girl, Amber! Sound vaguely familiar? If you wrote it for the entire world wide web to read, then it would sound familiar to a lot of people. So, what is the value in having an online diary or journal? Well, actually, it can be beneficial in a lot of ways. For example, if you were thinking of making that made-for-tv movie about your life so that you could air it on Lifetime, somtimes your best story ideas actually come from the tear soaked pages of your diary. Being allowed to write and keep a diary online is nothing short of an added bonus for those wishing to jump start their writing careers. Just make sure that the things you want kept private, you keep private. After all, you don’t want to air our ALL of your dirty laundry…or do you?
