Co-worker Falls From Ladder
One of my co-workers was up on a ladder trimming the branches on a large tree. The ladder slipped and he fell to the ground. He had to be transported to a larger hospital by helicopter.
As it turns out, he suffered a severe concussion as well as a sudden hearing loss. A hearing loss like that is usually left untreated to see if it will come back on its own. They did check for other causes, but didn’t find any. He is home from the hospital now, but he still cannot hear anything. It is unimaginable to me try to consider all of the ways this has changed his life.
