Tips on Using Water Conditioner
So, you are convinced that you would need a water conditioner in order to make your fish tank setup a success. Here are some tips that you should follow in order to optimize the effects of your water conditioner and not make it a further cause of the deterioration of your fish’s health.
* Don’t forget to add your water conditioner while the fish are not in the water. Put the fish in a different container first while you add the conditioner in the aquarium. Let the water conditioner settle, dissipate, and be dissolved in the fish tank water first before putting back the fish into the aquarium. Water conditioner that’s not yet fully dissolved into the water may harm the fish.
* A good ingredient that would allow the fish to ease into the conditioner-treated water easily is aloe vera. Remember that water changes or adding anything new to the water can cause stress to the fish, so any changes in the water, including the addition of water conditioner, has to be done on regular intervals.
