Classic of Modern Design, the Wassily Chair
The early 20’s and 30’s were an amazing time for the design of modern furniture. Some of the iconic modern furniture styles were designed during the 20’s and 30’s. Some of my favorite styles, the Eileen Gray table, the Barcelona lounge chair and ottoman and the Wassily chair all had their debut in the 1920’s. All of these styles are still highly prized by modern furniture aficionados. I own a Barcelona chair and ottoman and recently purchased Marcel Breuer’s Wassily chair for my home. They are perfect in form and amazingly comfortable as well. I love the airy and delicate look of the Wassily chair. It’s another great piece added to my collection.
