My Experience With Shock Collars

I had a labrador retriever that was very hyper and liked to bark on a consistent basis. At the time of this behavior, I was having to crate my dog and he was quite unhappy. One of my friends told me about shock collars and offered to let me use it on my dog. I took him up on his offer. I used the collar on the lowest setting and it made no difference to my dog. I increased the level of stimulation and he still did not stop his barking. I tried out the shock collar on myself before I used another level. This collar had no effect on my dog. I did not increase the shock level anymore because I felt it wasn’t effective. However, it worked very effectively on my friend’s dog at one of the lowest settings. Go figure.
