The Relationship between Coca Cola and Christmas
During holidays especially Christmas coca cola really plays a very great role. Actually coca cola helped shape the image that we have of Santa – looking jolly, in a red suit and with a long white beard. Santa did not always look that way. He started to look that way following the 1931 Coca Cola advertisements featured St Nick as a jolly man in a red suit with a white beard! – That was 75 years ago. I do not think many people realize that this image of Santa or St Nick was shaped by Coca Cola. Prior to 1931, there were many depictions or images of Santa – he varied from big to small and fat to tall.
