Growing up, my father was into carpentry and that’s usually the type of work he did. He also made extra money building decks for people, building cabinets and installing them and doing other woodworking projects. I recently bought a beautiful homemade birdhouse online and realized that the maker is just someone who has turned his hobby into a business. People love homemade things and love to give them as gifts as well. I know because I absolutely love my birdhouse which is personalized and I will cherish it for years to come.
