The unique way my brother may buy a house
For the past several months my brother has been trying to sell his house without any luck. He was sick of living in the Valley and wanted to move up in the mountains. His game plan was to sell his house and then turn around and buy a house in the mountains. He then saw some Real Estate Marketing that talked about doing a 1031 exchange. He called me up on the phone to find out what a 1031 exchange was all about. I told him essentially it was two real estate owners trading properties. He needed to find somebody in the mountains that owned a home and wanted to live in the Valley.
