XBox 360 Repair Guides Get Busy This Weekend

It was bound to happen sooner or later. My son’s xbox (3 years old) is going through its second bout with the dreaded xbox 360 3 red lights. So this weekend, we’re going to go the do it yourself route that I’ve recommended to hundreds, if not thousands of people. Break out the xbox 360 repair guides. If you don’t know the basic problem, its a heating issue. There’s too much of it building up inside the general processing unit and it’s not getting dissipated fast enough. It’s a design flaw. Funny thing is, the first time it happened it was still covered under the Microsoft warranty so we sent it back to them for a “permanent” repair. So much for that. This time we’re out of warranty (even with the 2 year extension Microsoft finally gave xbox 360 owners who’ve had the 3 red lights problem). The fix should be a piece of cake. Most of the guides now come with step by step video tutorials so it’s pretty much idiot proof.
