Held up by a huge dumping of snow
I called ahead to the rotorua motel that we had a made a reservation at to let them know that we were going to be late and to see if they could keep the office open a bit later for us to check in. It wasn’t our fault that we got held up, it was in fact due to a very unexpected large dumping of snow on the road that we had to travel on. It was a crazy amount of snow in a short period of time and they had to close the road for well over an hour while they cleared it for people to get through.
